Seminars and Workshops
Pacific Islands Development Bank collaborates with regional banks, government organizations, and non-profit groups in conducting and sponsoring seminars and workshops in topics related to development. Through a grant from the U.S. Department of Agriculture under the Rural Business Opportunity Grant, PIDB will be conducting a number of seminars and workshops that will benefit the businesses in the region. The Bank also collaborates closely with the Association of Pacific Islands Legislatures (APIL) on very important services to the community they both serve. USDA Rural Development Awards $750,000 in Economic Development
Hagatna, Guam – On September 8, 2008, USDA Rural Development State Director Lorraine Shin and Pacific Islands Development Bank President Aren Palik signed the documents for a $750,000 loan under the USDA Rural Development's Intermediary Relending Program (IRP).
