PACIFIC ISLANDS DEVELOPMENT BANK SCHOLARSHIP INSTRUCTIONS AND APPLICATION FORM

Purpose:

To provide a $1,000 scholarship to a deserving student seeking education and career opportunities in banking, finance, accounting, economics, or related fields.

Instructions:

  1. Deadline for scholarship applications is Monday, August 15, 2011 (no exceptions).
  2. Refer to criteria below for eligibility requirements.
  3. Applicant must submit supporting documents listed below.
  4. Type or print legibly. Application Form may be downloaded from www.pacificidb.com.
  5. You will be notified by mail or email in September regarding your application.
  6. Submit complete application with supporting documents to:

Supporting Documents:

  1. Acceptance letter or proof of enrollment for school year 2011-2012
  2. Official copy of your transcript
  3. Picture ID or driver's license
  4. Proof of citizenship (copy of photo page of passport or birth certificate)
  5. Two page, double spaced essay, describing your academic and career goals and explaining why you are interested in pursuing a career in your chosen field

Criteria:

  1. Be a citizen or legal resident of any of the PIDB member countries: Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands, Federated States of Micronesia, Guam, and Palau
  2. Be at least a third year or Junior student attending an accredited college or university
  3. Has an accumulative grade point average (GPA) not less than 2.7
  4. Majoring in banking, finance, economics, business or related fields

Deadline:
Friday, August 15, 2011. Applications received or postmarked after this date will not be considered.
