Scholarship and Internship

Pacific Islands Development Bank offers an annual scholarship program to college students from the Bank's member countries that are pursuing degrees in development related fields. Annually, the Bank will announce the availability of the scholarship and application process. You may contact us or check our website for the announcement of our next scholarship offer.

To be eligible an applicant must:

  • Be a citizen of one of the following member states/nations: the Federated States of Micronesia, Republic of Palau, Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands, or Guam;
  • Be a senior in a 4-year college or university or a sophomore in a 2-year college; ready to graduate;
  • Accepted and/or registered to the college/university attending or applying for;
  • Have a minimum cumulative GPA of at least 2.50; and
  • Major in Business and/or related fields.

USDA Rural Development Awards $750,000 in Economic Development

Hagatna, Guam – On September 8, 2008, USDA Rural Development State Director Lorraine Shin and Pacific Islands Development Bank President Aren Palik signed the documents for a $750,000 loan under the USDA Rural Development's Intermediary Relending Program (IRP).
